Winning a Stevie® Award is no small feat. For many women in business, it’s one of the most significant professional achievements one can attain. And now, as I stand before you with not one, but two incredible accolades from the Stevie® Awards for Women in Business, I feel a mix of immense gratitude, disbelief, and pride. But before we dive deeper into what these awards mean for me and my community at Global Butterfly, let’s take a step back and explore the importance of these awards and the journey that led us here.

Stevie® Awards: What Is It?

For those who might be hearing about it for the first time, let’s answer the question: Stevie® Awards—what is it? The Stevie® Awards are the world’s premier business awards. They were created to honour and generate public recognition of the achievements and positive contributions of organisations and professionals worldwide. Named after the Greek word for “crowned,” the Stevies are highly sought after and regarded as one of the most prestigious awards in the world.

The Stevie® Awards for Women in Business, in particular, are dedicated to recognising the contributions and successes of women entrepreneurs, executives, and the companies they lead. These awards highlight the incredible achievements of women who are not only breaking barriers but also making a difference in their respective industries. To be recognised as a finalist, let alone a winner, is a moment of immense pride and validation.

My Stevie® Awards Journey

This year, I had the privilege of being nominated in two significant categories: Mentor or Coach of the Year 2024 for Consumer Services and Maverick of the Year. The nomination process itself was intense and required a comprehensive review of everything I have built and accomplished over the years with my company, Global Butterfly. It involved gathering evidence of our success stories, case studies, and a thorough presentation of the impact my work has had on people’s lives.

I’ve been open about the fact that I sought the help of The Audacious Agency to put forward my nomination. Originally, I planned to submit for 2025. But after they reviewed my case studies, they were so impressed with the depth and effectiveness of my work that they decided to nominate me for 2024. And to my amazement, that decision led to a historic moment for me and my company.

Winning Gold and Bronze: A Milestone Achievement

When the announcement came from New York during the Gala, I felt my heart race. Winning Gold for Mentor or Coach of the Year in Consumer Services was a moment I will never forget. This award acknowledges the transformative power of my methods, especially the Gratitude Gains Appreciation (GGA) practice that has become a cornerstone of my work. It’s more than just a recognition of what I do; it’s a celebration of the lives that have been touched, the entrepreneurs who have found their purpose, and the leaders who have aligned their goals with their soul’s mission.

The Bronze Award for Maverick of the Year was equally special. Competing with major players like Twilio and TripAdvisor in this category was an honour in itself. Winning this award alongside such globally recognised companies signifies that my work isn’t just impactful on a small scale but is making waves in the business world.

Being honoured by the Stevie® Awards for Women in Business is not just about personal achievement. It’s about shining a light on the work I’m passionate about: bridging spirituality with strategy to create soul-aligned success. The recognition brings weight and credibility to what many perceive as intangible—emotional mastery, mindset work, and energy alignment.

Over the years, I’ve developed methods that guide people to balance their energy, focus their intentions, and manifest their goals with ease and joy. The Gratitude Gains Appreciation method is a perfect example. It helps clients find alignment, unlock abundance, and transform their lives by practising gratitude, celebrating wins, and appreciating themselves and the world around them. It’s a simple yet profound practice that underpins everything we do at Global Butterfly.

I won’t pretend it was easy. It required hours of preparation, endless reviews of my case studies, and presenting my achievements in a way that did justice to the years of hard work. But it was worth it. The recognition of the judges, who evaluate based on impact, innovation, and evidence, makes this victory all the more special.

Winning these awards means more than just adding a trophy to my shelf. It validates the hard work of my clients, the community we’ve built, and the methods that have changed lives. What I love most about this journey is that it’s a collective win.
